How do I find out about networking events?

Hi Folks

Most of you would probably be aware that job seekers are always adviced to network and attend networking events in order to increase the chances of yourself getting the ideal job.

This may sound like a silly question to you, but how do you find out about networking events? Are there particular websites which may hold that kind of information?

Hi There,

There are possibly too many networking events to choose from these days! I suggest just searching the internet for events in your your area and see if they are what you are looking for.

Check out your local Chamber of Commerce as they hold networking events and also any other local business associations.

I have found that once you have been to one event, people will readily suggest other events that may be useful to you, but beware, these events usually cost you money, so pick the ones that you feel or have heard are good and don't try to go to them all!
