Which would you suggest ACCA or ACA?????

    Very funny, no I meant whether you want to work in industry or practice. Everything I have heard or read states that ACCA is better if you want to work in industry or practice.<BR><BR>Annette

    I suspect that you heard this from other ACCA's. I passed ACA in 1992 and taught ACCA for 6 years from 1996 - 2002 and am quite sure that, while the syllabus of each changes slightly from time to time, the core knowledge required is identical. Certainly, I found nothing in the ACCA syllabus that I hadn't met whist doing ACA.<BR><BR>There is, however, a big but. No doubt I will bring forth all the wrath of every ACCA trainee on my head, but it is harder to pass ACA because the exams are competitive and the more highly qualified accountancy trainees tend to do ACA. Given that only a certain percentage will pass each year, it is harder to be in the top half of the class if the general standard is higher to start with.
