Hi gyus, just wondering as I am plannig to sit Personal Tax in May, is it worth it to buy new books, or can get away with old ones ( Finance Act 2011).

If you're sitting an exam based on the new Finance Act, do you really want the added pressure of not only learning the syllabus, but also knowing that you need to substitute all the figures you are reading for the most up to date ones. Personally for me, £15 on an up to date text book where you can just concentrate on learning, is money well spent.
You can get away with old text books for some other exams, but for exams based on calculations which use different figures every year, I would always advise to buy new ones.0 -
Get new books, all the personal allowances, tax bands etc are different.0
