Hi everyone,

I'm new to this site so please excuse me if I have posted in the wrong bit.

I was just wondering if any of you know wether it is worth the time and effort to become a chartered accountant?
I am currently on aat level 4 and don't really know what to do next.

any answers are much appreciated,
Thanks :)

Look at the vacancies in your locality on a recruitment agency website like www.reed.co.uk.

If the roles you fancy require a chartered qualification ( ACCA / ACA / CIMA /CTA ), then you have your answer.

    hi Lewis

it sounds like you are like me and coming to the end of your AAT and not sure which way to go ....do you have an
accountancy based job already? i have just manged to get myself a part time job doing the accounts for a small
storage firm but most of the stuff that i have learnt will not be used and there are not alot of jobs out there unless you have lots of experience...i dont want to spend even more money on courses as well as the time and not get a
job that will use the stuff that i have learnt
