How do I find an AAT apprenticeship in my area (England)?

There are a number of ways to find AAT apprenticeships in your area, and various resources to help you in your search.
A good place to start is the National Apprenticeship Service. With a comprehensive listing of all apprenticeship placements across England, it's the perfect place to build your apprenticeship search. You'll need to register (it's free), and then you can apply for suitable opportunities through the site.
You might also want to get in touch with local AAT training providers too. They may have links with local businesses and employers – so take advantage of their knowledge and connections. Go to AAT training provider open days and speak to tutors, or the specific apprenticeship advisors many colleges now have, to find out what apprenticeship opportunities there are near you.
Alternatively, you can cut out the middle man and go straight to employers themselves. Look on job sites like Monster, Reed and TotalJobs and search for entry-level or apprenticeship vacancies. Save your searches and set up email alerts so you'll be notified when something suitable arises.
