Osbourne books vat struggling need help with vat return please

Hi everyone

I need some help self studying vat and having some trouble on how to work out the whole of vat return if anyone could help would be much appreciated. I am trying to get my head around it by Osbourne workbook chapter activities 4.11 and 4.12 especially need help on the 4.11 a question as asking to calculate the figure to be claimed as bad debt relief on the vat return? And by I think the c question you need to add the bad debt to something so I guess I need to know how to do it. Can't seem to work that one out.
