Hi,
I was hoping someone would be able to help me?? I qualified MAAT last August and I'm now studying towards ACCA, I have friends with their own businesses and they would like me to do their accounts for them. Is this something I can do? What would I need to do??
Thank you
Steph

I did accounts for a couple of friends as an MAAT.
I filled out a form to claim exemption from the MIP scheme on the basis I wasn't charging for services.
However, from lurking on these forums, I understand that ACCA have strict rules over people offering services while they study. I think you can only provide basic bookkeeping and no final accounts/tax services.
You'll need to check on their website for their MIP conditions as I'm unsure on the details (I took the CIMA route) but I've definitely heard people mention the ACCA rules a few times.0
