Informing clients of PI details

I've just heard that we're meant to inform clients of our PI insurers contact details, preferably as part of the engagement letter. Apparently it's an EU directive. Just thought I'd share in case you'd never thought about it.

No, sorry I've not got anything to back this up, but someone I know has recently had an (AAT?) inspection and this was the one thing that she said he needed to address.0

I believe there's a requirement to 'make the contact details of insurers available to clients'. This could be as part of the engagement (or other) letter, but it could also be by making them available at the practice premises (i.e. putting the cert' on the wall).0
