Sage 50 Accounts - importing!

Hey everyone,
I've just finished my Level2 in Accounting and I've been accepted onto Level 3 (whoop!).
I'm an apprentice and I'm working in an accountancy practice.
I've been given .csv files exported from TAS. I need to import them into Sage 50.
I have managed to import the nominal ledger codes and names successfully, but I can't yet import the previous years balances.
I've consulted my Sage50 Accounts self study books but nothing covers it. It simply says "choose your data type". Well, I don't know what data type to choose, and what to allocate the balances against.
Has anyone done this before?
Could anyone please help me out? I've emailed Sage directly so when I do get a reply I will post here

Hi Jade,
I started to write a reply until I realised I was going the wrong way, I only export from Sage which is straightforward enough (as is importing via CSV to the package we use). Just Google 'import csv to sage 50', loads of guides and YouTube videos popped up. Generally the only time-consuming bit is mapping nominal codes from one package to the other, it looks like with Sage you can set up templates to import a lot more data than just n/c names and balances. Enjoy!0
