Hi Katie,
I would suggest as a starting point you may like to have a look at the ICAS resources on the AAT website, which include an introduction guide to writing the project report.
https://www.aat.org.uk/training/study-support/search
You will just need to select level 4 and ICAS
When you are ready to start the actual project you should find the other information that is available very useful in particular the project assessment guidelines which will show you exactly what you will need to cover in your report to complete it successfully.
I have also attached for you an example of the ICAS quick start guide we have been using with students at our revision workshops to give you a starting point for one type of layout that could be used and how this would go about covering the assessment requirements.
Attachment not found.
Also we have recently completed a student revision workshop which included a presentation on the ICAS project that you may like to have a look at on the following link:
http://aatbirmingham.org.uk/2013/student-revison-workshop-review.html#more-1485
The hardest part about the ICAS project is starting it so it sounds like you should be already heading in the right direction.
I trust this information will be of assistance and all the very best for you ICAS project work.0 -
Hi Katie,
Please see the thread i posted on ICAS, it should help.

If you're starting the Level 4 in September them ICAS no longer exists for you - it will be ISYS (The new unit under the 2013 Standards). Whilst there are few changes, you do need to take Ethics and Sustainability into account when you're reviewing the accounting system/processes.
I suggest that you wait for information from your tutor but, as Malcom says, the hardest part of this assessment is usually getting started. Once you start, you'll find that you don't have enough words to cover all you want to and then are forced to cut material from your report.0
