How many of you use Twitter for your job hunting?

Hi folks

How many of you use Twitter for your job search? I tried for a few days but found that most of the agencies who advertise on Twitter, also advertise on the major job sites anyway.

What are your thoughts?

I don't know about twitter but the jobs through agencies exist or not, I am not sure as I never seem to hear from them either!

Of course jobs exist in recruitment agencies...it's against the law to advertise phantom vacancies. The harsh reality is that if you don't hear from them, they currently have nothing to offer you.

And no, I'd never use Twitter to find a job and as far as I know, quality recruiters would never use Twitter to look for quality candidates either. Just how would it work? I dread the day when a quality CV will be replaced with a hundred or so text characters. But then I don't need to because it'll never happen.

Use Linked In and Monster to attract recruiters.
