On 24 September ACCA Swansea and West Wales region and AAT, along with Swansea University and Gower College are jointly hosting a free CPD event at Sketty Hall, Swansea on "Changes to IFRS (including consolidations)". The guest speaker is Deborah Lewis, Lecturer at Swansea University and the event opens at 17:30 for an 18:00 start and is due to end at 20:00. This is immediately followed by a half hour session on career planning and online profiles. The event is open to anyone interested and can be booked through the ACCA global website (and AAT probably).
On 30 September ACCA Public Sector Group and CIPS are jointly hosting a free CPD event at the Vale Hotel, Hensol (near Cardiff). This event is open to anyone interested and is not limited to the public sector. There are two speakers: Steve Robinson ACMA, Head of Commisssioning and Procurement, Cardiff Council and Nigel Stephens CPFA, ACO - Resources, Gwent Police; who will both be exploring using the Procurement function to make budget savings while supporting SME's and the local economy. Hopefully the presentations will deliver views from a Procurement point of view and from a Finance point of view, and will lead to a lively Q and A session and debate. Event opens at 17:30 for an 18:00 start and is due to finish at 20:00. The event can be booked on the ACCA global website or through CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchaing and Supply).
See you all there!
