Membership Application

I've submitted my application for full membership, but rang up today as I note that my yearly fees will be due soon so I phonedto check on the process.
I've been advised that my fee is due 1 October and that I have to pay the £94 affiliate member fee before my application is processed.
However, as I am continuing study I am eligible for the reduced rate full membership fee of £66 - why then do I have to pay a higher fee when my membership has not yet expired?!?
Another gripe is that my work experience was not verified by my employer in time and is marked as 'expired' on AAT systems. I cannot submit an additional request on the website as it is still marked as pending and I definitely hadn't been notified that it had expired! An email shouldn't be too much of an issue surely!
Aaarggh. I really don't get how a system that should be almost entirely automated (bar human input to check that the work experience written extract is ok) can be so useless!
Rant over, and I feel better already!
