Hi,<BR><BR>Im interested to find out more about members who use this forum. Where are you from ? How old you are ? Who do you work for ? etc <BR><BR>Im 23 based in city centre Manchester and I work for a property regeneration company. I qualified in 2001, currently studying CIMA, my role at work covers payroll, debtors control, management accounts prep and other ad hoc duties.<BR><BR>Regards<BR>Lee

    Hi<BR><BR>I'm 30 and live and work in Luton. I work as an Accounts Assistant for a Japanese company. My job entails Accounts Payable, General ledger, Bank Recs, compiling month end accounts and any other cack they want to chuck at me!

    Hello<BR>Im 22 and based in Leicestershire I work for a firm of chartered accountants and have just passed my technician stage of AAT, I generally do accounts preperation, audits, drafting final accounts, bookkeeping and general dogsbody! I have also just been told by my boss that im not intelligent enough to carry on and do ACCA!

    Im 19 and I live and work in Bradford. Im an Accounts Supervisor and passed AAT Technician level this year. i would like to do CIMA/ACCA but would like to find a job that gave me day release as I found it hard doing night school for AAT. I have nearly 4 years experience in accounts.

    By the way I'm 27 years of age and I'm studying at CovCollege. My exams are in June. I need study tips as I'm not very good at revision. Can anyone give me ideas???

    Exams soon? - lots and lots of practice questions. Do the same ones several times until you get them right if you need to. This will help you to learn the routines and give you confidence.

    Hi All <BR>I am from Northants. I work for a large Japanese group (although our actual firm is quite small) and I am an Accounts Clerk. I am currently studying AAT Technician and have my DFS paper to sit on Dec 1st ... Eek!! I am 21 years of age, have shoulder length blonde hair and... (doh wrong thread, he he!). I have worked in my department for 4 years (still on a S*@$ wage) and my main duties include Maintaing the Sales Ledger and Payroll. Pretty boring stuff really!<BR>Huuuuuuuuuuuh.....<BR>Laura :-)

    Hi, <BR>Im Faizal (20) and from Blackburn. I work for a travel agency in the purchase ledger.<BR>The companies called Gold medal Travel or Airline network, you might have heard of them! I'm doing my foundation at the moment and could do with some tips from anyone whose doing a higher level!

    Hi, I'm Laura, 22, from St. Neots, Cambs,<BR>Studying AAT Technician with 2 final exams to sit Nov/Dec 04 - hopefully then going on to do ACCA with exemptions from first level.<BR>Work in practice in a small firm in St. Neots covering a range of absolutely everything - accounts, vat returns, tax returns, deal with general queries and admin duties. etc. Only thing I don't touch is PAYE - which I'm hoping I will start looking at shortly...<BR>

    Hi, I'm Eleanor, am 24 and work in Derbyshire. I qualified as an Accounting Technician 2 years ago, and am currently working through my final year of CIMA, hopefully sitting my 3 strategy papers in May. I work for a small but growing firm of Environmental Engineering Consultants and a new company we have set up which is a Health and Safety Consultancy. I have been with the company for 6 years, and they have put me through both AAT & CIMA. I am now in charge of the accounts function of both companies, and prepare monthly management accounts and other information.

    Hey guys,<BR>im 17 and studying the foundation level. Got my exam next tuesday then following that i have the simulations which im not sure if i should be worried about as i have done practice papers of the exam and found that easy and i have been told the simulation is easier? ps studying at peterborough regional college. UP THE POSH!!!!

    Hi - Im Dave, aged 32, i am in the Army and qualified at AAT in Sep 2000, i went on to study and pass CIMA, i am originally from Bradford but at the moment i am based in Portsmouth working as a Management Accountant on an MOD project. Most people dont associate the army with accounting but there are about 50 of us who work on a variety of projects for the benefit of the MOD, we are lucky as we complete CIMA foundation/half of intermediate by distance learning but the other half of intermediate and final are completed residentially, we actually get posted to Worthy Down near Winchester and in essence are full time students.
