What is a 2:1 Degree<BR>This is a minimum requirement for a job advertised for a Trainee Chartered Accountant.<BR>*laffs* Wondering if/when/how I'd get a 2:1 degree<BR>Thanks

    Hi<BR><BR>A 2:1 is th grade of a degree, usually a BSc or BA (the 1st university degree)<BR><BR>The grades are: 1st class, 2nd class-upper tier (2:1), 2nd class-lower tier (2:2) or 3rd class.<BR><BR>Neil

    Didnt I read some where that after poassing Technician, it is equivalent to a degree? Not sure what level, cant remember where I read about it - any one got any ideas?<BR>

    I heard that passing technician is the equivalent of the first year of a degree and passing ACCA, CIMA or ACA is the equivalent of a masters, not sure how true this is though.<BR><BR>Annette

    Your analysis is about right, always assuming you did the Masters by way of exam, marked externally and not by thesis marked internally!
