Hi everyone,

I am trying to source a Quickbooks package for my workplace and would like to ask about which one you all are using, which one would you all recommend for a small charity?

I was leaning towards Sage myself, however our Auditors have recommended Quickbooks as it's easier to use than Sage, having used Sage before I know next to nothing about Quickbooks and would appreciate any help you all can give me.

I have been on they website and printed off the comparisons of all they products and they have something called "Nonprofit-Specific Financial Software, Quickbooks: Online Edition, Quickbooks: Pro 2005 & Quickbooks: Basic 2005" Our company requirements are to carry on the Payroll function, Invoicing & Reports.

I would like to call Quickbooks up but they are in America and wouldn't like to run up the company's phone bill, lol.

Thank you for your help.

Nafisa
Quickbooks for Charities
I am surprised at Auditors recommending Quickbooks over Sage. Are they agents for Q/books? I would stick with Sage.0 -
Quickbooks for Charities
Hi Nafisa,

I too would stick with Sage. I was able to design my own chart of accounts in Sage specifically for my charity organisation; it works fine and the auditors like it.

Chris0 -

I used Quickbook 2003 payroll, it's very confused and the customer services are not very helpful. They are trying to get you pay for the Technical support services.0 -

I work for a small charity/rest home and we use SAGE line 50, with no problems, and pay annually for support package which has always been very good.0 -
Quickbooks for Charities
Hi Nafisa

I too work for a charity. We are very happily using Quickbooks. We do not however do our own payroll, so I'm not sure how that would work.

Personally I prefer Quickbooks over Sage. I foudn it very easy to set up and easy to learn.

Pass.co.uk in London run some very good courses to enable you to convert your data and start up the package.

Hope this helps

Alison
0
