Outline
It's essential for students to understand what a Management Accountant can do to focus a business on doing the right things for long term sustainability in a highly competitive environment.
At this study support event delivered by iCount, the tutor will summarise the management accounting principles learned so far within AAT. The tutor will focus on the trickier areas of the syllabus, discussing variance analysis and the calculation of variances together with the use of an operating statement and the final reporting on reasons for variances for management. This will cover the writing skills necessary for the successful completion of the unit.
We'll also cover the whole area of Financial performance, covering the use of ratios and their interpretation but also stressing the importance of a more balanced view of business performance which will take in the Balanced Scorecard and Total Quality management.
