How do you copy an example and post on forum? FP help

I do not understand the 2013 exam sample 1, question 1.5 A or B on FP. Not sure how to copy page to the forum, does anyone know or can help with the question?

You could take a screenshot and upload it to photobucket or similar and link to it, but it's normally quicker to just type it out unless there's a lot of info.

Variance due to price index is calculated by looking at how the change in price index affects the cost of the materials:
450 per litre x 126.525 (new index) / 120.50 (old index) = 472.50 per litre.
This is an increase of 472.50 - 450 = 22.50 a litre x 12,500 litres = 281,250.

Variance due to other factors is the remainder:
375,000 - 218,250 = 93,750.
