Using own car and vat on private usage

Hi all
what method do you all use to calculate the vat on private fuel? (client of mine uses his car for business and his private use. when we calculate vat on these both what method do you adopt)

Fuel scale charge0

Take the fuel advisory rate from here http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/cars/advisory_fuel_current.htm And then x 20/120 or divide by 6 to work out the VAT to claim. Then claim that per mile. It's usually 2 - 4 pence per mile.0
