Hi All
Do any of you send out Questionnaires/Income etc to their clients at the start of the tax year.
I know some practices do but I wonder if its a waste of paper and postage.
Some of the questions asked: how much interest they have received, pension paid, rental income, benefits employment income.
I have not in the past sent letters at the start of the year but do wonder if people would bring their accounts in quicker if I did.

Yes I prepare them using Taxcalc, and send via email.
I am sure it helps.

In the practice I worked for we would usually send questionnaires in August as most will then have received P11D, P60, interests and dividends statements, etc.... If sent too early they are more likely to be put aside and forgotten :-)0
