Independent Examination (IE) of Accounts of a small charity

I have been asked to carry out an Independent Examination of the Accounts of a small charity. As far as I know, the Charity does not need to carry out statutory reporting to the Charities Commission. What typical tasks do people think I should I carry out in relation to this role, and how long do people think I should spend on the process?

To see if an IE is required you can check this flow chart https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/337911/cc31flowchart.pdf
All charities have to at least complete an Annual Return to be sent to the Charities Commission which includes some financial information.
Guidance from the Charities Commission on performing an IE can be found here - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/independent-examination-of-charity-accounts-examiners-cc32/independent-examination-of-charity-accounts-examiners
The length of time depends on the size of the charity and the number of transactions. Anywhere from 2 hours + I would say is reasonable.
Also are you licenced by the AAT to carry out the IE as it is a separate area of the MIP licence.Regards,
