Hello

Does anyone have any recommendations for the best software to use for ONE LTD company business? It needs to be able to submit returns to HMRC and Companies House and be easy to use.

Thank You

I use VT Transactions for bookkeeping and VT Final accounts for accounts production. VT Final accounts will let you file and submit directly to Companies House.
Definitely one the cheapest product on the market. You can also have a free trial for 30 days to see if you like it.

Why not just use the HMRC joint filing software for filing for free?

True for one company it may be the answer. It depends whether you would need a bookkeeping software as well.

VT accounts here (accounts and bookkeeping). I use the HMRC software and (blush) send paper copies to Company House....

Not for a single company but we use the following. Clients use a mix of methods from Sage, Clearbooks, Spreadsheets, etc. For incomplete records jobs we use VT T+. We then use Keytime for all Accounts Production and Tax. Again files directly to Companies House and HMRC.
