Bookkeeping at home

Hi guys,
I have worked in practice for around 18 months now and feel very confident in bookkeeping as this was my main role for the first 12 months.
I would like to start my own bookkeeping business but I am not sure if I need to be regulated by the AAT or ICB (if at all).
Could anybody point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Lewis.

Hi Lewis, are you MAAT? If so you would need to register as an MIP.0

What Level are you at Lewis? I also would like to do this but the further I get into my studies the more I realise that I don't know. I'm almost finished level 3 and have 7 years experience. I believe you can set up when you like but cannot use the letters AAT until you are qualified to do so. There is a lot of information on the AAT website available. They offer a lot of support.0
