Attracting new clients

Has anybody noticed a shift in the medium used to attract local clients? Is online advertising still the best?

What are your experiences?

Online still the best for us. As client numbers have increased then referrals are catching up and it is now 50-50.

With good adverts and a good website I would say realistically expect up to around 10 enquiries a month with around 5 on average.

How much are you spending for online adverts a month? I am assuming you are talking about adwords.

Yes this is adwords.

The amount varies depending on how many new clients we want at that time, the time of year, etc. Our average spend is around £250 a month but we budget for more than this.

Have tried SEO but found it to be a similar cost with far less results.
