What next after SDST

Hi all,
I have come back to the AAT and am continuing with level 3 after completing the foundation level when I was at college a few years ago. I am home-studying and will be taking my SDST exam next week, so I need to order the text book for the next unit. Which unit do people recommend I do next? I've heard AP1 and 2 are quite challenging so I'm considering doing these a bit later once I've got some other passes under my belt. Thanks for the advice.

You can do any order you like aside from the AP papers are done in order. If you want to complete the easiest papers first the Indirect Tax module is a good option. Ethics is easier if you are good with reading/memorising and giving written responses - analysing ethical dilemmas for example. I found Costs and Revenues most dense and it's often thought to be the hardest module, there's a little cross over into AP1 but can be done before or after that module. It's good if you enjoy maths while AP1 is more detailed double entry - if you need to recap double entry you should have a look back over L2 as the L3 book won't recap the much of the basics, I had a break of a year so found it useful to have my L2 book as reference and to practice using the L2 tests and activities on MyAAT.
For info I did the modules in this order - Ethics, Spreadsheets, Indirect Tax, Cost and Revenues, Cash Management (old L3 syllabus), AP1 and AP2 last - doing these last has helped move straight into Financial Statements at L4 as there is no recap again0 -
Thanks for your helpful response ariadne. Based on what you have said I think I will continue with Indirect Tax, and then perhaps Cost and Revenues afterwards. Thanks again.0

Any order really just keep the 2 subjects together AP1 and AP2 - the rest you can switch aroundDonna Curling - AAT Tutor

Thanks for replying. My Indirect Tax textbook has just arrived so I will begin on that after my SDST exam tomorrow.0

it is a good one to go through if you struggled with SDST - most of the class found it a lot easier than the spreadsheetsDonna Curling - AAT Tutor
