MAAT & MIP Membership Fees: do you pay both?

Looks like I'm gonna have to spend over £200 for MAAT and MIP membership fees, do all of you pay the same? I thought once you're an MIP you don't have to pay for MAAT status since you need be MAAT in order to practice...
Plus are you getting enough benefits out of your fees?

and what do you get Burg? The specific events I'm interested in I have to pay £165, the others are just general...
The AAT website is frequently under changes and with bugs
We lost this forum which once it was our point for swapping information....I rather use Accounting Web which has a clear layout and it's not clunky...0
