My employer has received £6000 from a customer for a yearly subscription. He would like to spread this over the coming year - ie post 1/12th each month to sales.
I am unsure where to post the amount from which I would draw down the money each month.
We use Sage Line 50 - Should I create a reserve under the 3000 nominal codes?
Please advise

If there's not a deferred income account already set up, stick it near other creditors/accruals (don't forget to map in chart of accounts).0
