Financial planning roles

Afternoon all,

I have recently completed AAT and I'm trying to decide what my next step is.

I've found myself thinking that I could be quite fulfilling to offer financial advice to low income families and those who wouldn't otherwise have access to these services.

I know the money advice service and citizens advice bureau offer certain financial planning services and I would be willing to volunteer at these organisations for a few hours a week in order to gain some experience. Are there any other national organisations that offer these kind of services?

What kind of qualifications would I need in order to progress with this as a career? Would I be required to become an IFA and undergo the training required for that?

Many thanks in advance for your advice.
