Hello, i am doing an apprenticeship and i'm just about to start studying for my level 4 diploma in accounting. However i recently noticed there is an additional unit (diploma in business skills) and i was unsure if it was necessary?
What would happen if i didn't complete it, would i still be qualified? as its not requirement if your not doing an apprenticeship?
Could i still apply for AAT membership still?
Thanks

We have an apprentice at work in a similar situation; I believe (though don't quote me) this is part of the requirement to receive government funding for the apprenticeship - it's not required for AAT. So you'll be qualified but your employer won't get their cash!0
