A client wishes to place their company into a dormant status. The year end is 31st December, and accounts have not yet been prepared for 2014.
Is it possible to extend the year end to June 2015 and produce 18 month accounts?
The final transactions are going through now to clear the outstanding creditors and debtors, and the company is in the process of closing down the PAYE and VAT.
Thank you!

I believe the accounting period can be extended to a maximum of 18 months provided it hasn't already been extended in the previous 5 years.0
