MIP Exemption application - how long?

I'm hoping someone can help!
I'm an MAAT and have been offered part time self employed work but subcontracted to an accountant. I've applied to the AAT for MIP exemption this week - do they come back to you regarding this and roughly how long does it take? I've my PI insurance in place etc. and just want to get going really!
