Starting AAT Level 2 - Career Advice please!

I am starting my AAT Level 2 in September and will be doing evening classes.
I currently am in a apprenticeship where in 2 years I will also have Business Administration Level 3 - will this be helpful to me? If not should I be looking for a job in finance?
My main question is what is the best course without going to university after I eventually finish my level 4?
I'm all very new to the concept and would greatly appreciate any advice, like when should I start looking for a job in a practitioner? What Level is it vital to make the move into an accounting environment? What should I do upon finishing my Level 4 AAT?

Any questions anyone can answer or advice to be given would greatly appreciated as I am currently finding all the different routes difficult to decide and take in!
