Redundancy payments for Pensioners

I was wondering if anyone could help.
I have a new client who's been told by another accountant that someone working pensionable age still working isn't entitled to receive redundancy payments.
I've had a scout through conflicting articles on the web, some say they are entitled and others say they don't.
Has anyone had any dealing with this topic or have a definitive answer.
Thanks
Neil

Capping redundancy payments at pension age is an offence under the equality act. It constitutes age discrimination.1
