VAT and Gateway

Does an MIP doing VAT returns only for a client need to have any special sort of HMRC account or log-in or would they simply log in through client's own gateway details?

Thanks.

Thank you @mrme89 . So I could set myself up as an agent on Gateway then? Presumably the client would then nominate me as a delegate? Is that simple enough to register?

Client would need to complete 64-8 or online agent verification to nominate you as their VAT agent. You would need your agent code before they can do this.
