retrospective practicing certificate

Hi, I have just recently realised that I should have applied for a practicing certificate. The AAT forms seem to allow retrospective applications. I started about a year ago but had virtually no clients and earned <1K. However my level of work has increased and I am hoping to get more this year.
Can you let me know how serious AAT take this and if I disclose earlier earnings which were very little if I will end up with a disciplinary issue? Is it better not to disclose the earnings in my first year. Unfortunately, I find that the more honest I am the more trouble I get into.

If it were me I'd just have a chat with one of their advisers. At the end of the day, unless you're planning on lying to them at some point, you're going to have to be honest with them sooner or later so best to be up-front. I always found Victoria Stainton in AAT Membership Support was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and she'll point you in the right direction, if she's still there.
