ACA Credits/Exemptions and Distance Learning

Hi
I have recently completed AAT Level 4 Diploma and I am looking into ACA as I might have the opportunity to work for a practice that offers a training contract. However if I am successful the training contract would not start until September 2016 (at the earliest).
My question is if I am successful in getting the position, can I register as an ACA student and claim exemptions without having a training contract? As I would like to claim the exemptions and complete the final modules at Certificate level through Distance Learning ready to start at Professional Level at the start of the training contract next September?
I have contacted ACA but can take upto 14 days to respond and I have a second interview on Monday!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
