Hi, Can somebody give me some advice? Our system has generated a sales invoice to a company in the Netherlands but we have delivered the goods to a UK company. We have charged vat. Is this correct?

Hi Ktalice56,
Yes this is correct, although you are invoicing the goods to a NL Company, you're delivery to a UK Company. Therefore as the Sale took place and is being made within the UK, VAT must be charged at the current VAT rate. Even though you will probably be paid by the NL company.
If you were invoicing and shipping the goods abroad VAT would be at European Standard 0%. And would be shown on your EU Sales Return to HMRC.MAAT, AATQB, MICB PM.Dip.
