Can someone please tell me what the difference is between a Skills Test and an Assignment ?
I have just completed my first assignment, Branson & Co, and received the papers back from Premier Training and been told that on the basis of my mark (a distinction) i should put in for my first skills test.
So am curious what exactly this entails. As i have been told i can take the test at home. So what is the difference from this to an assignment. Appart from it costing me £20!
Thanks.

    Skills Test

At Farnborough College - Hants - a Skills Test appears to be their Internal / College paper, which is produced in agreement with the AAT.

In our case, it is aimed at covering all the topics in the unit and is effectively, a 'mock exam'.

Generally, the Internal paper is set at a higher level than the AAT paper.

Might be worth a call to your trainers - Premier - to clarify.

Good Luck for your first paper.

    Skills Test

The skills tests set by Premier are practise Simulations set by AAT.

You do Skills tests for units you can not provide you work based evidence for and these will cost you £20 each.

Some colleges call them Desolved assessments!!

Amanda
