I have inquired with my employer regarding study support for ACCA and they have asked me to provide a budget with expected costs.
Please see below, I would be thankful if anyone can point out any costs I may have missed or if its line with the costs they have experienced (prices based from Kaplan and ACCA site).
Intial registration £79.00
Yearly subscription (85 x3)£255.00
Tuition £7,569.00
Revision £5,221.00
Exemption fee (72x3) £216.00
Exams skills module £588.00 based on standard entry ( six exams @ £98)
Exams essential module £580.00 based on standard entry (five exams @ £116)
£14,508.00
Thanks for anyone's help/opinons

HI
I have just started ACCA and had to produce a costing to my employer, but mine came to £5010 excl VAT.
I have passed F4 using BPP online so far.
The ACCA had a deal on exemption fees when I signed up- ask them when you ring. I think I got them for approximately £80.
I based my figures on using BPP online course ( between £371 and £413 per module) along with exam fees and ACCA reg fees. I am not planning to do any revision courses as I am hoping get through without needing these.
There do however seem to be two free/much cheaper resources called OPenTuition and Acowntancy- it would be interesting to know if anyone has used these and passed without a problem.
Good luck!

Exemptions for AAT members are free, or at least I think..... http://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/qualifications/accountancy-career/aat-acca.html
I've heard of the two cheaper resources, but yeah its a bit of an unknown quantity

Bryony - I've used OpenTuition and Acowtancy for some and passed them first time. I've also used just books and passed first time too.
Cost wise, I've self funded (have done 12/14 exams) and I reckon I've spent £50-£100 per exam on study materials, then the exam fees, and then ACCA fees, so about £2000-£3000 in total. My new employer is funding my last 2 exams and the tuition costs have made my eyes water! These 2 exams will be costing almost the same as my previous 12 exams!0 -
HI NPS
Which would you say is better Open tuition or Acowtancy?
Thanks

OpenTuition is free, Acowtancy is £99.
OpenTuition is more professional and lengthier, but Acowtancy is more 'fun' and more condensed. Acowtancy sometimes makes me cringe a little and be prepared for people to not take you seriously if they see you using it (it's very cartoon like). I used Acowtancy alone for P3 - it was the first exam that I didn't even open a text book and it took me a fraction of the time it usually takes me to prepare for an exam (but P3 is a funny exam as I think it's more common sense than anything). I've only ever really used OpenTuition for bits here and there as I found the lectures too long and slow (they are filmed in actual classrooms and you can't always hear the questions from the class so you end up just sitting there listening to one side of a conversation).
No reason you can't use a combination of both.0
