The Opportunity:
This role is primarily to expand Xero U’s digital educational content which is applicable to prospective and existing partners, end-users and industry bodies.

The role will involve liaising with various partners, community groups and customers to identify course/content requirements for Xero UK and to create high quality digital education. The Education Specialist will also deliver training via classrooms and scheduled webinars and is expected to also represent Xero at relevant nationwide events.

This is what else you’ll get up to in this role:
  • Produce and write materials for core training on Xero and Xero-add-on partners for SMB’s and accounting partners
  • Facilitate webinars and face to face sessions to partners and customers to a world class industry standard
  • Project manage creation of content through either external or internal writers
  • Provide assistance and coaching to third party content creators to facilitate high quality production and delivery of webinars and recorded material, undertaking train the trainer activity when appropriate
  • Assist with events amongst the accountant community, accounting partners and SMBs
  • Take feedback from surveys and follow up programmes to refine content after initial release
  • Manage the localisation and updating of product education with every new global release
Here’s what we’re looking for in our Education Specialist:
  • Previous experience in the production of educational material and course structure
  • Practical Accounting skills, qualified to a minimum of AAT level 4
  • An understanding of the processes within an accounting / bookkeeping practice is advantageous
  • A keen interest in digital education production
  • A strong audio voice
  • Camtasia & Keynote skills will be highly regarded
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • To be highly organised with the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative and innovative thinking
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven track record in training delivery with demonstrable excellent customer feedback
  • Computer literacy and software knowledge, especially in cloud based applications
  • Passion and desire to make a difference and contribute as a member of a dynamic team
  • Positive, friendly ‘can do’ attitude
