The Naval Ships business is currently offering a number of accounting and finance management opportunities based in Glasgow.
The Finance Function strives to provide value adding and fully integrated business support which through the promotion of best practice and continuous improvement informs business decision making and provides focus on the achievement of financial objectives.

You will help the Finance Function ensure that BAE Systems Maritime - Naval Ships achieves its financial objectives by managing the provision of comprehensive and quality financial support with respect to project accounting, management reporting, business planning, internal control, financial accounting as well as providing independent challenge and appraisal of proposed business decisions.

We are currently recruiting for the following roles in Glasgow:

Accountants – Management Accountants and Project Accountants
Senior Accountants – Management Accountant and Project Accountants
Finance Managers - Governance and Controls

On both a permanent and fixed term basis


Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Full membership of a relevant professional accounting body – CIMA, ACCA or ICAEW/ICAS

Strong commercial acumen

Experience gained in a business partnering capacity

Experience of working as part of a team

Finance experience gained either in a Big 4 environment or within manufacturing, defence or engineering would be preferred

You will be able to clearly articulate complex finance issues and build effective working relationships. You should be a motivated individual with ability to self- manage and to be proactive in seeking continuous improvement opportunities.

You have a finance career that can demonstrate the ability to facilitate and drive continuous improvement both within your span of responsibility as well as influence the wider business.
