Intro

My client is an exciting SME in the fashion sector with significant growth plans. They are recruiting a commercial CFO who will be integral to the success of the business.

Job description

The CFO's responsibilities will include the following:

Planning

Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.
Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans.
Develop financial and tax strategies.
Manage the capital request and budgeting processes.
Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.

Operations

Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
Dealing with all members of the management team.
Manage the corporate affairs, accounting, human resources, investor relations, legal, tax, and treasury departments.
Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations.
Oversee the company's transaction processing systems.
Implement operational best practices.
Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package.

Financial Information

Oversee the issuance of financial information.
Report financial results to the board of directors.

Funding

Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts.
Arrange for debt and equity financing.
Maintain banking relationships.
Represent the company with investors.

Who we're looking for

The candidate should have an MBA or be a Qualified Accountant (or international equivalent)
Proven experience in an FD / CFO role for a major company or division of a medium-large corporation.
Background of working at board level and partnering with an executive team, and have a high level of written and oral communication skills.
A fluent Italian speaker, is a distinct advantage, as well as excellent written and spoken English
Prior experience or knowledge of the fashion sector would be advantageous
M&A or corporate finance background would be desirable

What's on offer

Basic salary £150K - £200K, depending on experience, plus bonus / LTIPS and benefits.
