Sage Line 50 Self Study, any good?

I completed my AAT to technician level a few years ago and have recently started looked for a new job. Sage Line 50 seems to be required for a lot of the jobs. I covered this for perhaps a week in the first level of AAT so want to improve my skills. I have seen on the Sage website you can do the self study for around £500, has anyone done this and can recommend it? It seems very expensive for what you get (for example, the first level includes installing the product).
Does anyone have any recommendations as to how to improve my Sage Line 50 skills? I live in Cornwall and the local colleges run Sage Courses twice a year, however these are often cancelled too so local college isn't much use.
Any help would be appreciated.
