Changing club accounts to an incorporated account

I am treasurer of a residents' association, (very small not for profit) which has been operating since 2008.
The association has very recently become incorporated. I understand that the first accounts of a new company start on the date of incorporation. I assume that I have to finalise the accounts up to the date of the incorporation, and then start a new set of accounts. The Association has just carried on its day to day operations as normal.
How do I transfer the details of the existing account to the new account?
