Job Description

The role has arisen due to several factors including an expansion of the operational business thanks to positive performance. This is a broad ranging role, partnering with senior stakeholders both in and outside of finance.

Key Purpose Areas:

Financial control and monitoring of the Business Units.
Business partner to BUDs and their teams.
To provide support to GFC, as required.

Key Results Areas:

Financial support to business units to drive delivery of budget and forecasts.
Identification and analysis of risks and issues in each business unit (especially if impacting actual/forecast results/future business) and communication to BUDs and GFC.
Timely preparation of budgets and strategic plans.

Decision Making & Working Relationships:

Financial modelling to aid commercial decision making in business units, including consideration of risk.
Prioritising work with regards to deadlines for budgets, cost centres, management accounts and annual accounts.
Day to day interaction with Senior Managers, Directors, Commercial teams etc
Required to meet directly with customers, as support to commercial team.
International travel (including regular Germany and occasional US visits) to support business unit teams.

This role plays a key role in current and future business performance. The successful candidate will be expected to attend regular meetings providing valuable insights and influence. One of the Business Units has significant dealings in Germany and so it is essential that the successful candidate can speak fluent German and is open to international travel.

ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified.

Manufacturing background, desirable
