HMRC finally published several long overdue consultation papers relating to the Government’s Making Tax Digital (MTD) agenda last month.
AAT shares the Government’s ambition for the UK to have the most digitally advanced tax system in the world – although we think the timescale for achieving this now appears to be very challenging!
The consultation papers cover a wide range of issues from making better use of information to an overview for small businesses, the self-employed and landlords and clearly provide an important opportunity for AAT to represent the views of its members to policymakers. To help us do this we have published a brief, easily accessible survey that will help inform our consultation responses.
Completing the survey shouldn’t take more than five to ten minutes (it’s 12 questions rather than the 130 questions contained with the six HMRC consultations).
The survey can be found online at: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/2MF733S until Sunday 25th September 2016.
