VAT on AAT training at College

Hello All,
I am currently studying level 4 AAT at college and my employers are paying my fees, however the invoice has no VAT on it.
I have tried to research if this training is VAT exempt or not. A colleague of mine is studying CIMA and is able to claim VAT back.
Can anyone explain the reason why I am unable to claim VAT on a college course for AAT.
The course is 2 nights a week totalling 6 hours, I am a full-time employee not an apprentice.
Thank you kindly,
Luke Rogers.

I am a bit confused with your question. Why would you want to claim the VAT back on fees that your employer are paying?

Hi Luke, Education is VAT exempt when supplied by an eligible body e.g. a college.0
