My client is a locum doctor (operating through limited company) and company accounting period ends 31 august 2016.
company had a contract to work from 15/08/16 to 02/09/16 and money received in bank account four weeks later in October 16. is it fair to say that all the income should be treated in period ending 31 Aug 2017? any comments please.

Thanks mrme89. i have trying to find HMRC mannual on this but could not find one. Is this not the case that in case of professional services income is only deemed to have earned when the contract of service has been completed?0
