Hello all,
Does anybody know anything about writer's royalties?
I have a new client, who is a journalist and author, who received royalties from the Author's Licensing and Collecting Society. Somebody has told her that these are not taxable. I would have thought that they were, as surely they are income, can anybody confirm whether or not this is the case?
Regards,
Julie

Taxable but depending on the level of income this may not be a trade and may not be self-employed income but rather just other income.Regards,
