Rivers Leasing is a niche, fast growing independent leasing and asset finance business based in North West London (to find out more about us visit We are looking for a Trainee Underwriter & Customer Support Assistant who will not only work on our day to day lease operations requirements and will become involved with providing support and service to our fast growing customer base. The role involves arrears collections, financial performance analysis, and customer credit analysis. Training will be provided on both our lease management systems and our processes.
This role reports to the Business Operations Manager and will also provide ad hoc analysis and information support for the Managing Director. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and flexible. Suitable candidates should have strong communication skills be confident in dealing with customers with a good telephone manner, problem solving abilities and commercial acumen. Good general computer and strong Excel skills are required to perform this role.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to be involved with a combination of lease finance, customer and commercial operations.
Salary £16,500 - £18,000 per annum

Key Tasks
• Support Underwriters by producing credit check reports
• Input on credit decisions
• Ensure that final leasing documents agree with finance proposals
• Checking lease documents and ensuring customer data on systems are complete and accurate
• Producing ad hoc management reports from the system and in Excel
Customer Service & General Administration
• Responding to customer on questions on the phone and providing copy documentation
• Producing new customer welcome letters on lease set up and producing arrears chasing letters
• Scanning documentation and uploading onto systems
• Processing ad hoc customer payments.
• Assist with processing documents for financing
• General office and systems support functions
• Producing ad hoc reports
